Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the EnergyFit Visalia Insulation Solutions website and any work you hire us to do. By using the site, asking for an estimate or scheduling a job, you agree to them, so please read them before you book.
If a written estimate or contract we give you says something different from this page, the written estimate or contract controls for that job. You can return to the home page at any time, and if anything here is unclear, contact us and we'll explain it before you commit to anything.
What we do
We're an insulation contractor in Visalia, CA, and we work in homes and businesses in Visalia and the cities around it. Our work includes attic, wall, crawl space and basement insulation, blown-in insulation, spray foam, air sealing, vapor barriers and removal of old insulation.
The descriptions on this site explain our services in general terms. What we actually do at your house is set out in your written estimate, because every attic and crawl space is different. You can read more about how we work on our About page.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free, on site and carry no obligation. We look at your attic, crawl space or walls, check how many inches of insulation are already there and what condition it's in, and then give you a written price for the work we agreed on.
An estimate is based on what we can see that day. Sometimes we only find out once the job is open that old material is soaked, full of droppings or hiding gaps that need sealing first. When that happens, we stop, show you what we found and give you a price for the extra work, and we don't go ahead with it until you approve it.
Prices on an estimate hold for the period written on it. After that, material costs may have changed, so we may need to update the price before scheduling.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We'll agree on a start date with you and do our best to keep it. Weather, material delivery or a job that runs long can push a date back, and if that happens we'll tell you as soon as we know and set a new time.
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work areas, including the attic hatch, crawl space entry, driveway and power. Please move stored items out of the way and keep children and pets clear of the work. Some products, spray foam in particular, need you out of the house for a set time before you go back in, and we'll tell you that re-entry time, meaning when it's safe to come home, before the job starts so you can plan for it.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (559) 409-1169 as early as you can. If we've already ordered special material or our crew is already on site, you may be charged for those costs, and your estimate or contract will say how that works for your job.
Payment
Payment terms, including any deposit, progress payments and the final balance, are written on your estimate or contract, and you agree to pay on those terms. Unless that paperwork says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.
If a payment is late, we may pause remaining work until it's settled, and you're responsible for reasonable costs of collecting an unpaid balance where California law allows it.
Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover
We're licensed and insured, and we stand behind our work with a satisfaction guarantee. If something we installed isn't right, tell us and we'll come back and make it right.
Materials are covered by their makers' own warranties, and we'll pass those on to you where they apply. Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from things outside our control, such as roof leaks, plumbing leaks, pests, storms, or other work done in the space after we leave, like a cable installer pulling back insulation.
We can't promise a specific drop in your power bill or a set temperature in a hot upstairs room, because that also depends on your windows, ductwork, HVAC system and how the house is used. Apart from what's written here and in your contract, our work and this website are provided without other warranties, to the extent California law allows.
Limits on our liability
To the extent California law allows, our liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We're not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost rent, lost business or higher utility costs, or for problems caused by conditions in the house that existed before we started and weren't part of the work we agreed to do.
Nothing on this page limits any right you have under California law that can't be waived.
Using this website
The information on this site is general and meant to help you understand insulation work. It isn't a substitute for an on-site look at your house, and we may update or correct it at any time.
Please don't copy content from this site for commercial use, try to interfere with how it runs or send us false information through the contact form.
If we disagree
If you're unhappy with anything, call us first at (559) 409-1169 or reach us through our contact page. Most problems are fixed fastest by talking them through and, where needed, by our crew coming back out to look.
If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before going to court. Either of us can still use small claims court where the claim qualifies. Any court case will be heard in Tulare County, California.
Governing law
These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted here is the one that applies. Changes don't affect a job already under a signed estimate or contract unless we both agree in writing.
Questions about these terms? Call (559) 409-1169, Monday through Friday 7 AM to 9 PM or Saturday and Sunday 6 AM to 9 PM, or send a message through our contact page. Expect a reply within 1 business day.
